#348 – The Last (Empire or) Jedi

After nearly seven years of podcasting, it’s time to let the past die… That’s right, we’re killing it. We’re sticking a laser sword in the face of Empire or Jedi and calling it quits (worry not Trek-Cast fans, the final two episodes will be along shortly thanks to our ship getting caught in a temporal wake), and what better way to close out the (official) show than by reviewing the latest Star Wars film, The Last Jedi: a movie that’s been universally praised by critics and audiences alike and was voted The Least Polarizing Film of All Time by Rotten Tomatoes.

(Whoops, sorry. I’m reading the headlines from an alternate timeline. It’s hard to keep track of which reality is which when you’re caught in a temporal wake…)

I’m your host, David Snider, and joining me one last time are fellow nerds and second time criers Cody Eastlick and Ryan Caldwell.

Topics of discussion in this episode include the long, lonely road of avoiding trailers for The Last Jedi; we reveal which of us are Team Poe and Team Holdo; and finally, Kylo Ren: Great Star Wars Character or Greatest Star Wars Character?

The Empire or Jedi Podcast will (ironically) conclude with Star Trek: Insurrection and Star Trek: Nemesis.

And for all of our non-Trek-Cast fans, STAY TUNED. Though this may be the end of Empire or Jedi, we may yet come back in podcast form. After all, temporal wakes can do funny things…
