Before we begin this latest entry in the Empire or Jedi Krypto-Cast, it is with a heavy heart that I must announce that Nick Goathoof – the man who has been with yours truly from the beginning, all the way to last year’s installment in the “Snyder-verse” – has finally succumbed to the deadly power of the DCEU and has called it quits with the Man of Steel. Nick was a gentle soul; a man who believed in truth, justice, and a likable Superman, and unfortunately, these last two movies just weren’t doing it for him like they used to back in the good old days with Christopher Reeve and Richard Pryor. But, alas, the show must go on, and I for one am not about to give in to the exec’s at Warner Bros. and their dastardly efforts to destroy Superman and all that he stands for. I choose to FIGHT…by watching another one of their meddling attempts to capture the magic that Marvel has so expertly harnessed in the past nine years.
I’m your host, David Snider, and joining me as we grow out our mullets and digitally remove our mustaches are fellow nerds Ryan Caldwell and Michael Althouse.
Topics of discussion in this episode include the question of whether or not it’s better to be forgettable or a trainwreck; we address the mustache in the room…; and finally, we lament the sad decline of Batfleck, as the Caped Crusader has his dignity reduced to Paul Blart: Mall Cop-levels.
