#345 – Spotlight On: Halloween (1978)

Just when you thought it was safe to put out your Jack-o-Lantern… That’s right; despite Halloween already having passed us by, we’re putting the Myers House back on the market so we can examine one of the more shameful entries in Mike’s Cinematic Pile of Shame: Halloween.

I’m your host, David Snider, and joining me as we lean heavy on the synth are fellow Smith’s Grove mental patients Ryan Caldwell and Michael Althouse.

Topics of discussion in this episode include the creation of nearly every Slasher trope in the book; we find out if John Carpenter’s classic still has the power to terrify; and finally, we examine the long line of sequels that Halloween birthed, including the infamous, Busta Rhymes-led Halloween: Resurrection.
