#337 – Spotlight On: Star Trek II – The Wrath of Khan

At the end of the universe…likes the beginning of a contrarian opinion. That’s right, despite Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan pretty much being unanimously praised as a bonafide masterpiece of sci-fi, one of us on this episode fails to understand all of the fuss. What follows is ninety minutes of two sane people trying to extol the perfection of a classic to a man who may or may not be under the influence of a Ceti Alpha V eel (a Klingon aphrodisiac has been prescribed as a routine safety measure).

I’m your host and admiral, David Snider, and joining me as we continue our journey into the Final Frontier our fellow Starfleet crewmembers Lt. Commander Chad Griner and Ensign Nick Goathoof.

Topics of discussion in this episode include the proper and improper usage of a Klingon aphrodisiac; Nick calls Khan’s “superior intellect” into question; and finally, we try to understand just what the hell is the deal with those chest flaps on Starfleet uniforms.
