#331 – My Sweet (Star) Lord

After weeks of shrugable content emitting from Hollywood we were finally treated to a blockbuster that is fun, exciting, and hopefully a sign of things to come in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. As good as James Gunn’s latest entry in the Marvel Universe is, will it be enough to break the cinematic malaise that has settled over the Empire or Jedi crew as of late? Or will we have to wait until December for The Last Jedi to save us from the Hollywood doldrums?

I’m your host and sourpuss David Snider, and joining me this week are fellow nerds and curmudgeons Jonathan Hinckley, Ryan Caldwell, and Michael Althouse.

Topics of discussion in this episode include our pitches for an alternate-genre take on Star Wars Episode XI; Emilia Clarke sports the latest in Portland fashion as she tries to save that one cute guy who ate sugar cubes in the second Hunger Games movie; and finally, Michael Rooker’s Yondu vies for the Best Line of 2017 as we discuss Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 (aka, Disney’s Money Machine).
